What we keep, and for how long.
The short version: we keep what a job needs for as long as that job takes, and then we forget it. We do not sell or share your details with anyone.
If you run a tab
We take your name, and your number if you give one, so we can keep your tab straight and send you the bill. Your number comes off that bill about three months after you settle it, and off our records altogether if you have not been in for a year. Sooner if you ask.
What you bought stays in our books, because that is our accounting and we are expected to keep it. Once we have forgotten you, those sales have nobody attached to them.
If you leave an email
We use it for one thing: to tell you about the nights worth showing up for. If you send an event enquiry, we use those details to get back to you about your event.
What we do not do
We do not build a profile of what you drink in order to sell you things, we do not pass your number to anyone, and the bar screen does not show your history. Our analytics do not track you across the web or use cookies to identify you.
Asking us to forget you
Email admin@theyard.place and we will take your name and number off everything, including the record of changes behind the scenes. You can also ask what we hold about you, or to correct it. We keep a note that a request was honoured, with nothing in it that identifies you.
This is how we meet the Data Protection Act 2019. If you think we have got something wrong, tell us and we will fix it, and you can take it to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner either way.
